My 15 year-old granddaughter arrived today for a few days - currently she's bingeing on Dynasty on Neftlix.

I'm half watching with her - it's dire!

Who knew there was a modern-day Dynasty!

At work

Mrswhatsit40 · 27/12/2024 16:53

She’s been lying in bed all day with her boyfriend- they’ve now gone to the pub (she’s 19) I’ve sent her £20 for a couple of drinks to get them out.

She’s usually very active and a hard worker so I’m happy to see her relaxing and just generally having a nice life!

StrawberryCherry · 27/12/2024 16:54

Watching peppa pig

Whattheduck · 27/12/2024 16:58

My Dd is home from uni but is working today she works for a company who are based where we live and also where she goes to uni so she’s picking up some shifts whilst home

Citygirlrurallife · 27/12/2024 17:01

DD13 was dragged out on a dog walk earlier so now she’s eating crisps and playing roblox with a friend who she’s also chatting to on FaceTime

BlackBean2023 · 27/12/2024 17:02

DD17 has just taken DD8 to the panto

reluctantbrit · 27/12/2024 17:04

DD is 17 and in Y13. We are in Germany, DH and my home country.

This morning she worked on her history essay, we went out for lunch and did some shopping then spent the afternoon at my mum's (her gran's) care home.

Now she is in her room at the Air BnB and watches something not available on UK Netflix.

She has ASD and ADHD, the afternoon was a lot masking for her so she needs a break.

Modern day Dynasty is awful.

My 13 year old has just gone back to her room after playing Just Dance with me and her brother for a bit. She'll be on her phone, reading fan fiction most likely.

Aw that’s sweet!

Mine is tidying her room and watching Friends.

Abbaa · 27/12/2024 17:10

15 year old is making a gingerbread house with my Mum!

Dodgydodgydodgy · 27/12/2024 17:11

When I was her age we had a video car guy who rented videos from the back of his car. He was gorgeous! I had a mega crush on him.

Spent all week in the holidays watching VHS videos.

Globules · 27/12/2024 17:13

Sitting on the sofa next to me, watching Pitch Perfect 3, eating brie and deciding what to crochet next.

EmeraldDreams73 · 27/12/2024 17:18

Dd16 is in her room (almost definitely napping) after a lovely afternoon with me and dd20 sales shopping in town. She went up to show her mates what she'd bought (on Snapchat) but I'd bet a lot that she's asleep in the middle of utter chaos.

Tomorrow she will be nagged to sort her room out and do some washing. Today I'm enjoying the peace tbh. I've just walked the dog and am about to stir myself to cook something.

Heyupkiddo · 27/12/2024 17:25

Aww, so miss being this age and the lolling around, reading books, watching shows..
Also nice to see what my 6 year old dd might up to in years to come

DisasterDisaster · 27/12/2024 17:36

Impressed by all the 15yo revising!!
Mines did fuck all at during the hols in the GCSE year 😂😂 (to be fair, they did well p. Just worked at other times)

RamblingEclectic · 27/12/2024 17:38

My two teen daughters are playing some sort of fashion game on the Xbox with their friends over video call, cackling as they come up with strange combinations.

I have never seen them play a fashion game before, I've been told to blame one of the friends for all the monstrosities. Hearing the one that is fairly anti-fashion judging everything has been funny.

Judellie · 27/12/2024 17:38

Studying for her A-levels today, bless her. She worked 9 - 6 yesterday.
Hoping she might come down soon and we can watch Friends or something on the sofa; we had sausage and mash and gravy and carrots at lunch time so hopefully just a light tea.
I'm wishing I had a bit of Christmas cake or fruit loaf tbh but nobody else likes it so I didn't buy any.

HopingForTheBest25 · 27/12/2024 17:42

Mine is cleaning and tidying her bedroom. Without any nagging from me! Am very pleased!

DD has to hand in the last draft of her essay on the 9th. Plus her sociology teacher sat homework to be handed in on the 7th and she has 3 pieces for her drama exam to learn.

I love the irony that the sociology teacher ended her homework email with "Don't forget to take some time and relax."

TeabySea · 27/12/2024 17:45

In their bedroom, making edits on their phone. Meant to be tidying the room...

Edinaandpatsyrule · 27/12/2024 17:46

I’d love to say she’s revising for her A levels. She is not. She is snogging her boyfriend

Nearlyadoctor · 27/12/2024 17:55

She’s been revising for her A Levels , then went over to her boyfriend’s at 5pm. We’re meeting them plus DS and DIL at the local pub for a meal tonight as my Ddad has come to stay for one night. Back to the revision again tomorrow.

zeibesaffron · 27/12/2024 17:57

she is currently out somewhere after lying about where she is going….

CapybarasAreJustGuineaBigs · 27/12/2024 17:59

19 yr old DD is making origami paper stars and watching the latest series of What We Do In The Shadows

14 yr old DD is playing Skyrim with DP while eating leftover roast potatoes
