My partner asked me for a family brunch to his family's place today. Due to go soon.

I wasn't in the mood to go and I would prefer to relax at home. I am with my mother however I got up late because I am not feeling well. It's not contagious. It's the start of migraine. She is full of mood and aggro.

So now I dont know what to do for the day.

Do I go visiting my partner's family with the start of a migraine or stay at home to be surrounded by a bad mood all day.

Go to your partner’s family. Say that you have a migraine and need to lie down.

PP saying take some painkillers and go have clearly never had a migraine.

Flashing lights, blind spots and ziz zags in our vision, pins and needles in your tongue, numbness down one side of your body, vomiting and such a splitting headache it feels like your optic nerves will explode.

The are debilitating and very scary!

In fairness that's why people have asked how bad the OP's are. With mine I get the aura so my vision is massively affected for about half an hour, but never get other symptoms at the same time. I do get headaches separately, which makes it easier to mange with just one symptom at a time.
With mine I could rest and drink loads of water and be fine to leave a bit later, with the severity you describe the obviously definitely not.
