Who can recommend some decent kitchen scissors please?

Mine are RUBBISH. Don't stay sharp, keep coming loose... Every time I use them I think "right that's it! A new pair!"

But what would you lovely MNers recommended please?

Waitrose for a fiver are cheap and cheerful
Sainsburys are crap as are Morrisons

I like the ones that come apart as I can put them in the dishwasher

The ikea ones. That coke in a pack of 2 or 3 that need a pair to open, so don't throw yours out just yet

I have two pairs of blue IKEA kitchen scissors, one is 6yo the other 3. They’re both still razor sharp and I can’t tell the difference.

Oxo good grips. They come apart for dishwashing and stay sharp for ages.

To put this in context I'm a grandmother

I grabbed a pair from Asda in a hurry about a year ago and they have been great! Still sharp and were only a few quid

We have these. The blades separate for washing. They’re excellent.

@CharlotteCChapel I had completely forgotten about those scissors my mum had those when I was little, probably still does

William Whiteley and never buy another pair! They are pricey though (got mine as a Christmas gift a few years ago).

I don't think I have ever seen a cheerful pair of scissors. Do they smile all the time, or only when you take them out of a drawer?
