Car wheel

Hi everyone,

Has anyone experienced this issue? When I drive for the first 15 minutes, the car tires make a squishy noise, especially on bumps. After about 15 minutes, the noise disappears, and it remains silent when I return. This seems to occur when the car hasn’t been used for a long time. I checked tyre pressure and they were fine.

Has it just started happening since it's gone colder?

Bounty555 · 26/12/2024 12:50

@HelpMeGetThrough yes more in the last two weeks?

I think that you need to check your tyre pressures. The noise could be as the tyres need air.
After 15 minutes the tyres expand and that is why there is no longer a noise.

That was my thought too.

Thank you for the replies. @HelpMeGetThrough @SkyGrant will that mean I need to change tyres? Not sure which it is. I checked the other day and one was low. I pumped it but if it keeps making noise when I start it the next day. Just goes away after about 15 minutes.

@Catsanus its meant to be 32 but when I checked one was 24 and others were 37. Pumped the 24 to 37… its still squishy when I start it. Like squeaky noise. Worse on bumps

You need to make sure they are at 32 if that's what the car needs. If you're at 37, you've over inflated.
