I would usually have a piece of toast but it was profiteroles and fresh cream today and very nice too!

Crackers and Brie unacceptable any other morning of the year, not sure it's even acceptable now but I enjoyed it 😄

Chocolately · 26/12/2024 11:30

I had weetabix! 😒
I'm obviously a total amateur at Christmas eating. Must try harder.

Falalalala24 · 26/12/2024 11:32

Haha I could eat nearly all of these!

Turkey dripping on toast of course!

Cats got ours! Disappeared while we were eating dinner yesterday 😹

mondaytosunday · 26/12/2024 11:32

Haven't eaten anything yet. Probably will have egg, smoked salmon and avocado on toast with a handful of tomatoes which is what I have most days! Just a bit later than usual.

Netcam · 26/12/2024 11:32

Yes, porridge made with skimmed milk with banana and hazelnuts.

Yesterday (brunch really) was 2 boiled eggs with 1 slice of ancient grain sourdough toast and an orange.

Pascha · 26/12/2024 11:32

Paté on toast and coffee but we are due at PILs for lunch at one so I'm going easy this morning.

Inextremis · 26/12/2024 11:32

Not had it yet, but it's going to be bubble 'n squeak using leftover roasties and sprouts (I love sprouts) with a fried egg on top. We've got a friend coming round later, so this evening it'll be cold chicken, ham, hot mashed potatoes, stuffing and salad. Maybe some cheese, but I'm doubting my appetite will be up to it!

Falalalala24 · 26/12/2024 11:32

But only on Boxing Day for some reason!

Haha no! Some matice melon (so super sweet), two hazelnut profiteroles, and two pigs in blankets to balance out the sugar with salt…. About to get ready to head out onto the moors for a walk, so think I might need something more substantial before we go… or maybe I’ll just pack the leftover pigs and a wedge of bread, like a hobbit 😅

I had a shit ton of Stilton with crackers.

Boredlass · 26/12/2024 11:36

Pigs in blankets and a slice of Colin the Caterpillar

UtterlyUnimaginativeUsername · 26/12/2024 11:37

A turkey and ham sandwich on rye bread with mayo and spiced plum and blackberry chutney, followed by a slice of blonde chocolate and ginger mousse. DS opted for pigs in blankets and yule log. DH has only just surfaced and has begun with coffee, but who knows what direction he'll go in next? And DD, being 14, is still asleep. I'd say she'll polish off the rest of the yule log.

InSpainTheRain · 26/12/2024 11:37

I had "special coffee" aka coffee and baileys, with 2 M&S chocolates. Now eyeing up the cheese and pickles for lunch.

HollyChristmas · 26/12/2024 11:37

A mince pie and a green tea .

TotallyTwisted · 26/12/2024 11:37

Yes, I had a piece of toast.
Then I had a cup of tea with two gingerbread biscuits and a chocolate decoration off the tree. 😋

TheDandyLion · 26/12/2024 11:38

Marmite on toast with a couple of celebrations

nutsandraisinsrock · 26/12/2024 11:39

I gave up sugar a few months ago and haven't broken it once over Xmas - feel great for it. Greek yogurt and seeds for me.

Printedword · 26/12/2024 11:40

I feel I'm missing out reading all these fun breakfasts 😀

We just had coffee, fruit, toast like a regular weekday. However, our pigs in blankets yesterday were ones ordered from the butcher. I got a few extras in Sainsbury the day before we picked up the order because I wasn't sure how many there would be in the tray from the butcher. The Sainsbury ones can't be frozen. So lunch may involve cooking them for butties. I daresay I can freeze them once cooked if no one wants this for lunch

slightlydistrac · 26/12/2024 11:41

I had a bacon sandwich on my return from the Boots sale.

Well done. I broke it twice with chocolate cake and ice cream. The sugar didn't make me feel great to be honest and I'm sure it affected my sleep, back to no sugar from today.

PoorUncleBarry · 26/12/2024 11:43

A bacon sandwich, orange juice, coffee, salted tortilla chips and now Mams Christmas cake for dessert ☺️ will skip lunch obvs.

CordeliaNaismithVorkosigan · 26/12/2024 11:45

Eggs Benedict - Boxing Day tradition in this house, using slices of the Christmas ham. It’s the only time of year I can be bothered to make Hollandaise.

babasaclover · 26/12/2024 11:45

I had a slim fast cause I'm full up to the gills still

mitogoshigg · 26/12/2024 11:45

Fry up, not normal for me, at parents
