Does anyone remember this TV show

Can anyone remember or know the name of a noughties TV show on ch.4 about a couple renovating a house somewhere in the UK? It was in the 2000's.

The guy had been in a band and was modestly famous, the woman was as mad as a hatter...think she had blonde hair and always wore bright lipstick. Think chaos and great entertainment!

They were both pretty cool looking, think the guy may had been reminiscent of Jarvis Cocker.

Hmm this is ringing faint bells? The couple as you describe them sound like Danny Goffey and Pearl Lowe (but with black hair not blonde). But I remember a similar renovation show with a couple who I think were famous but I think it was abroad?

Was it one of those 'A Place in the... France/Spain/Slovakia' type programmes?

I know the one you mean because a neighbour of mine became quite friendly with them, sorry I cannot remember the names. If I remember rightly they were a bit punky, had no money and were doing it all themselves, in France I think?

The woman had a bit of Ruby Wax about her.

Neighbours have moved now, but they lent me a VHS tape I think, as I had not seen it on tv when it was shown.

Found it....A place in spain costa chaos, the couple are called Dawn & Rocco
