For me it’s how disgusting it is to wash dishes in a sink or basin full of water. It turns my stomach a bit. The dishes have to be washed in fresh, running water.

OP posts:
ChishiyaBat · 25/12/2024 09:03

Agree with the washing dishes, running water is the only way.
No one can change sex, born a man or a woman you die a man or a woman, no matter what you do to your body inbetween those points, gender is utter bollocks.

'Fucking idiots are attracted to threads of this nature like flies round shit. It's irresistible for them'

you didn’t need to introduce yourself so eloquently! Everyone is welcome here!

Why thank you!

And glad tidings.

fedup33 · 25/12/2024 09:05

Positivity is over rated.

Yaxley Smith is vile as as his ilk.

ThatKhakiMoose · 25/12/2024 09:05

Commitment is boring and dull and full of problems. Being single, living alone, but having lots of flings with no expectations is the best!

Frangywangywoowah · 25/12/2024 09:06

That there will always be some people who are utter cunts. Sod all the attempts to look beyond, to be kind, their childhood. No, some people have and will always just be cunts.

Alexandra2001 · 25/12/2024 09:06

We should be open to change our opinions.

But the only one i couldn't be persuaded on is that German Short Haired Pointers are the very best dogs in all of creation.

GoldStork · 25/12/2024 08:41

Jesus loves me 🥰 and His love is available to everyone.

I agree!

Notgoodatpoetrybutgreatatlit · 25/12/2024 09:09

I will never ever agree that utilities should be privately held companies. That includes public transport.
Nationalisation for all!
Also Death in Paradise is a good TV show.

Prisonbreak · 25/12/2024 09:11

There are 2 genders.

HardenYourHeart · 25/12/2024 09:11

Deciding early in my life never to settle down or having kids, was the best decision I ever made.

I won't pretend that it's all sunshine and daisies or that I am not lonely from time to time, but being on my own is a hell of a lot better than inadvertently recreating the relationship of my parents in my own life, as my parents did with their parents.

I broke the cycle, even though it's not always easy.

NecklessMumster · 25/12/2024 09:13

That capital punishment is wrong.
That you should never cross a picket line.
That there is no god.
That Tories are selfish.
That tattoo's look like blemishes.
That there is always hope.

zzplea · 24/12/2024 23:41

Border collies are the best dogs.

Oh but that can’t be right @zzplea because my ddog is the best dog and he’s not a border collie 🤭 Photo for proof!

Brefugee · 25/12/2024 09:19

what opinion will i never change? that water is not an infinite resource and washing/rinsing dishes under running water is an obscene waste of resources.

Tattoos are tacky,

So are multiple piercings.

Came on to say exactly this.

IMBCRound2 · 25/12/2024 09:21

prams and pushchairs were invented by a man determined to make women reliant on help to get about - the traditional slings and wraps gave women the freedom to travel, work and just generally exist without help! Also an older woman once congratulated me on not using a ‘ traffic tester like so many mums these days ’ and now i cant get over the fact people willingly push their child into the road before themselves … actually makes me feel a bit queasy.

And people don’t know the difference between permissive and gentle parenting - thanks to the fact that many people who claim to practice the later that but actually practice the former!

orangetriangle · 25/12/2024 09:22

ignorance causes so much damage and there is no excuse for it these days
Gentle parenting is a load of nonsense and causes untold damage
Everyone does not have ocd or autism and saying so helps no one
Parents whose adult children do not work full time or even at all when there is no valid reason are enabling them to a lifetime of sponging off someone else and not learning basic life skills to get on in the world
People who do not do their housework when they are fully able to do so and thus keep their house clean and tidy are just plain lazy

SoManyTshirts · 25/12/2024 09:23

Not everyone is suited to lifelong monogamy and non-monogamous relationships should be celebrated too.

Quite like the idea of a fixed-term renewable partnership, too.

LittleBird8 · 25/12/2024 09:27

Intelligence is largely inherited. No amount of museum, art gallery and library visits can change that.

itsjustbiology · 25/12/2024 09:28

Babies with earrings ...no!

FatFiatMultiplaWhopper · 25/12/2024 09:29

Organised religion is crowd control.

Children aged between 7 and 12 are generally intolerable.

Meat is murder.

This is what I will forever call them from now on 😂 and I like Brussel sprouts!

Google for images of 'little green balls of death'

WASZPy · 25/12/2024 09:29

There are too many humans on the planet. There should be a strict, global one-child limit and we should ride the economic consequences of that (which I understand) in order to save the planet.

Agree.

Damsonjam1 · 25/12/2024 09:33

For most young people an apprenticeship would be a better option than university. I trained as a nurse under the apprenticeship scheme, was paid to learn, was also a valued part of the work force, and on qualifying the majority of nurses were competent to run a ward. There were final exams, so cheating would have been hard. Best of all no debt.

Instead of aiming for 50% of young people to go to university, the aim should be for 50% to do an apprenticeship (albeit with university / college input). We would have a much better trained workforce and young people would be saddled with less debt.

Sossijiz · 25/12/2024 09:35

Eating meat is normal for human beings. That's why we have the teeth and digestive systems we have.

Anyone who has the space and money for a dishwasher, but chooses to wash up by hand, is on a par with those who would rather have a smelly old outhouse than indoor plumbing.

Schools should be allowed to exclude disruptive pupils. Send them home and let their parents deal with them full time.
