For me it’s how disgusting it is to wash dishes in a sink or basin full of water. It turns my stomach a bit. The dishes have to be washed in fresh, running water.

Christmas is overrated, commercialised and stressful. The burden to be happy on one particular day of the year and spend money on pointless things is immense we would all be better off without it.

That eliminating music, of all things, from a central role in the curriculum was Michael Gove's most disastrous legacy, beating even Brexit for its destructiveness to the British people, culture and economy. I actually quite like what I see of him as a person and would like to go for a drink with him and argue the toss but it just shows how much damage a single person with some wrong-headed ideas can do if they get power.

That I am a little more intelligent than average 🙂

I'm with you on these, at least in principle.

But then I looked at some of the vermin that Joe Biden has just let off death row, and while I'd agree that for most of them life without parole is best, there are half a dozen more that I'd have left there. The child-killers, the drug baron multiple murderers, the two who did 5 separate kidnappings for ransom, received the ransoms, then killed their hostages anyway. So in his shoes I'd have commuted 31 and left 9 on death row. I don't agree with the death sentence but I couldn't quite bring myself to do anything to help them.

People who say money is not important have always had enough of it that they've never been truly desperate or worried sick. Not having enough money to eat for a few days would change their perspective wonderfully.

Agreed , the waste of gas / electricity to get hot water , water and soap going straight down the plug hole is nuts.
Wash things in the right order in a bowl and if necessary change the water once .
Glasses > cups > bread boards > cutlery > side plates/ saucers > utensils > plates > 'clean ' pans ( used for boiling veg / past / rice ) > dirty pans > roasting tins > pet bowl.

Questioning someone when they say they don't want a alcohol drink should be banned.
Calling someone boring or trying to persuade them to have a drink means the antagonist should be made to eat the broken glass the non drinker is allowed to hit them on the head with.
