Neighbours music

Help me out here...I need to think straight. My neighbour is playing her music too loud meaning kids can't sleep in their bedroom, as it's too disturbing. This is the same person we have had ongoing issues with.

Have rang her really kindly asking please turn it down...and been told to fuck off! I get it's Xmas eve but I don't know if I'm being silly...or just need to get over it.

Wwyd? We have had issues in the past, and have come to amicable terms (following two warnings from the local Authority and her housing officer to her) as in if it's too loud, we ask n she listens, but this time she just hasnt.

Makes me nervous cos tomorrow it's Christmas, so that's be another thing for her!

And been told to fuck off? Wow, sorry op, what a twat

That sounds really awful. You must be fuming.

I really empathise. I can't stand hearing pumping bass through the walls.

Can you play a thunderstorm video from YouTube on a speaker to try and drown it out? Or would you still get vibrations?

Being a people pleaser I can't decide if I'm being unreasonable, as I get you want to have fun it's Xmas eve.

I wish I could but I don't have the same level of speakers she does that's the problem I have.

I'm not a tit for tat person, in fact I'm running scared! Wishing I'd have just left it!

I know it's not an immediate solution email her housing association/council and put in detailed complaint.
We have had to do this with an idiot neighbour.I email and ask if it can be nipped in the bud as house number address has forgotten he's got neighbours yet again.
Hopefully she runs out of steam soon op.

Don't retaliate tit for tat ..tinks love a bit of drama.
Let council and if need be police deal with it.

You are absolutely not being unreasonable. You did the right thing to ask her to turn it down. It's not your fault she's behaving badly.

I was thinking of a little Bluetooth speaker, not huge ones to annoy her. It's a trick I use when I'm camping at festivals - I put a little speaker next to my head playing loud rain and thunder so even if I can hear something, it blends in.

Earplugs hurt my ears and I don't find them that effective.

I hope you managed to get some sleep and peace and quiet x
