Strange thing with my hands!

I know it’s not a major thing but it’s definitely not normal! But I’ve just looked at my hands and noticed that my skin looks see through !!! Especially On the palm of my hands, I can even see the teeny capillaries (think that’s what they are called!) and it’s freaking me out. Has anyone else ever had this? And can you tell me what it is and what is causing it?

Post a photo

I think if you upload a photo onto google it may bring up similar conditions.

Do they feel cold?

It's quite normal. There isn't much subcutaneous fat on the hands. I can see all my blood vessels and have always been able to.

Ladybird69 · 24/12/2024 20:12

I’ve tried to take a picture but you can’t really see anything. They’re not cold, v warm if anything. I’m a larger lady so unfortunately I’ve got a generous covering of fat 🤣

I thought everyone's were like that. Mine have been like that since I can remember, I can see all the blood vessels, it's as though the skin on my palms is layers of transparent skin.

MissMoneyFairy · 24/12/2024 20:18

If your hot they might just look a bit red

Ladybird69 · 24/12/2024 20:27

Sorry I’m not good at explaining things. The hands are white, like dead flesh 🤮 But I can see the blue veins as usual but today I can see the tiny spider like thinner red ones especially in the palms! It’s probably normal, and it’s just me not noticing it before! Lol I think I just need to go open the baileys! 🤣

Is there any loss of sensation? They aren’t numb?

Wendolino · 24/12/2024 20:29

I just tried to take a photo of mine but it doesn't show up. Mine sound just like yours- I can see tiny capillaries like red and blue threads under the skin. Maybe we are both peculiar 😂

Ladybird69 · 24/12/2024 20:56

👋 @Wendolino fellow weirdo. Um @Numberwangggg not numb, if anything they are a bit tingly.
