Heating related stress

We have evolved a system where the heating comes on at set times. Today we are treating ourselves to a warm house. Now I know it's not healthy or desireable to be in a stuffy house all day but I am enjoying it.The on / off thing is stressy. Off is pretty damn cold.

I'm in my parents house. 70% of the rooms have no heating as it has packed up. System is over 60 years old and no one seems able to fix it so far.

And is that affecting your mood?

Why don't you have it on all day but at a low setting?

Yes! Because I wake up cold, and the shower went cold this morning too!!

At home our heating is normally on 3 sessions per day, but on all day when cold, and 24hrs when v cold.

Plus trying to find a fix is stressful and it is on me.

We were in iLs house recently with the heating absolutely blaring. I had headaches all the time and goodness knows what their bills are like. Yesterday we visited a 92yo friend whose house was likewise. I guess old people feel the cold more than me. When we came out I said that her house was far too hot but OH thought it was lovely.
Today it's 14 degrees so no heating on until later.

Waking up cold is unpleasant. I suppose I'm " old" I'm all for beign stoic, putting on an extra jumper, moving about a bit. Just surprised at how much better I feel in the constabt warm

I actually prefer to wake up cold than hot. PiLs heating came on with a timer about 7.30. I woke with a headache every day
