The Great Toast Debate!

Family have descended on us for Christmas and so the annual great toast debate starts 😄
Everyone likes theirs done differently and I can hear my kids and their cousins (good naturedly, it's the same every year) arguing their stance.
I can see marmite, baked beans, jam and peanut butter on the table.
I like mine just this side of well done but left to cool a bit before buttering.

How do you like yours?
And what do you have on it?

Toasted properly but not black/totally dried out
Slightly cooled but not so cold the butter won't spread/melt slightly
Maybe a light smear of Marmite or some bitter orange marmalade

Light brown and butter on immediately

Marmite, cheese, mushrooms on top if I'm feeling hungry!

Medium brownness and it has to be buttered the very moment it pops from the toaster. The butter needs to sink in. If it sits on top then it’s vile!

I like mine really dark brown, cooled down so it’s very very crunchy and the butter won’t melt so I can actually taste the butter.

Cold and well done/ a bit burnt. Salted butter please, don't be tight with it, and scrambled eggs, also well done (unlike my DB who has them cooked but a pouring consistency), bit of Hendersons and brown sauce. Otherwise, just brown sauce and butter.

Alternatively a bit of good olive oil with bitter marmalade, avocado and marmite although prefer to lay off avocado for ethical reasons, or tomato, Spanish style
