Bloody, buggering hell! What else can go wrong?

Yesterday driving to shop, horrible grinding sound on braking-yep, the brake pads have gone and garage can't fix until Saturday. Dd needs picking up from airport tonight(dhs colleague is kindly taking him) but means no car, no football for dh. More expense. Then this morning almighty crash and one of the ceiling panels under the bathroom has collapsed.(It is over the passage to front door) so even more expense in new year. Not to mention worry about whether the bathroom is going to collapse. Arrrrrgh! Anyone else having a mare?

No thank goodness. DH (who is working) had the brilliant idea of finding a builder to appraise it. Yes dear, no problem. Ffs.
