Bloody subs

I orded an asda shop . So my subs were orded savoury eggs i get given pork pies
I ordered 4 pack glasses and get 1 single glass . Well done Asda slow hand clap 👏

Could have been worse I once orded baking trays and was given plastic containers.

Just got my Ocado receipt. red cabbage is missing and no sub- my mums the only person who eats that really so no biggie. mns olive oil has been subbed for MnS olive oil so must just be the size!

Maybe I'm over thinking . But I think Asda should be help accountable for silly things like this. The the fact of no common sense. What is the person needing the turkey is disabled or simlar and can't get out.

Well, I'm your woman - disabled (damaged spine) and having other treatment that leaves me with a weak immune system, so trips to busy supermarkets at Christmas is out.

DP and DS both have what seems like flu and are in no fit state to be anywhere near a packed supermarket either.

So an Asda delivery this morning it was. 15% of the items ordered were substituted, including some mad ones, but the driver was kind and helpful and we got most of the stuff we needed for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. We'll manage.

Edited to add: how fucking Zen am I? When did this happen?? Maybe I've slipped into a parallel universe.

Leg of lamb (feeds 8) - pack of 2 lamb shanks.

I was telling this to someone today and apparently the pickers are unable to override the system to put something sensible in instead, the system picks for you.

A few years ago my sister ordered a box of tissues and got a pack of disposable nappies. 😳

Only cream missing from my Tesco order today. I've just sent DH out to th Co-op in the next village. It will cost a fortune but hopefully they will have some. Otherwise I can't complain. A couple of subs but just different brands of the same things and one or two short use by dates but that's not a problem.

So just had my receipt for the delivery due today.

not too bad at all. 3 subs but all workable!

bacon substituted with a different brand of bacon (not as good as this one had added water but it’s fine!)

jus roll puff pastry substituted with 2 packs of supermarket own brand puff pastry. That will still work fine for the leftover Boxing Day pies.

1 400g packet of sprouts substituted for 2 packs off 200g of sprouts.

I am very relieved. Now I don’t have to rush out to get replace anything. I managed to get the washing up liquid that I mentioned on Saturday.

so really all I have not managed to get is
cheeselets (unavailable at last shop)

cheesy footballs (didn’t find them anywhere to buy this year!

and worse I couldn’t find any cheese truckles on the day I went to Lidl but I have some cheddar and that will be lovely on crackers.

iam sorry to everyone who has had really bad subs this year. A special thought to @AThousandStarlings and the fishfingers!

Hmm so to follow from my positive post this morning.

shopping came.

on unpacking I had

the two broccoli were brown and absolutely so far past their best they had to be thrown immediately.
the mushrooms we’re also off and very wet! So had to go.

the tomahawk steak box looked like it had been severely crushed, then when i checked the vacuum pack it had a tiny hole so obviously it’s not safe to use as it is raw meat (even though it still looks ok)

the Brussels didn’t look great either but are still usable with some decent trimming of the bad bits so iv kept them and didn’t get a refund.

called them. They were very nice about it and refunded it all with no problem.

but i now need to go to a shop not to get the broccoli and mushrooms.

The tomahawk is going to be missed but it was not for Christmas Day so it’s a shame but it was a luxury extra that was a treat but it’s obviously not an essential.
