Perimenopause-is this it?

I'm in my mid-40's and have noticed some changes but I'm not sure if I'm losing it!

My periods are still regular but the PMT seems to be getting worse. I retain so much fluid I actually ache in the days before, I'm completely wiped out and my co-ordination disappears.

My skin seems to be prone to allergies, had to throw some gorgeous face cream away as it made my face swell and dry up! My skin overall seems drier-having been the owner of greasy skin always, I'm now having to throw moisture at my face or I feel like a dried up prune Grin

I'm not sure if this is middle age or something if I'm heading towards hot-flushes? Not adverse to HRT but when do you start? Is it now (if I am peri) or when menopause is in full swing?

My first sign, looking back, was absolute rage before periods. Then my periods got heavier and closer together, but it was such a slow change that I hardly noticed.
When to start HRT? For me it was when brain fog affected my work, when I couldn’t be bothered doing anything, and when I full on detested my DH. HRT has made me tolerate him!
