Anyone having a quiet Christmas

This year as with many others we will have a quiet Christmas.
No 12/13 HR days at work cooking for everyone as my new job shuts.
Just the 2 of us.Dcs have moved away and for past financial reasons or anxiety to do it all and work in hospitality and run myself ragged we are having a roast dinner and watching films.
Probably followed by video group chat to dcs and a walk.
Not much difference to a Sunday really.
Anyone else going low key?

I can beat 'low key', I don't do it at all. I don't mean to sound smug, I just wanted you to have a response

We aren’t doing Christmas this year due to my 21 year old daughter who still lived at home passing away suddenly 6 weeks ago.

We will treat it like a normal day.

Oh my goodness. What a sad, tragic time it must be for you. I will remember you in my thoughts and on Christmas Day, Loud. Xxxxx

Yeah I don’t have any family or friends, the ones that haven’t died I’m estranged from, I can’t afford to buy any food. So it’s just another day.

I've been there about not celebrating Christmas due to recent bereavement , so thoughts with all those that are going through it this year.
Coming from a small family growing up ( only child parents on both sides ) and then having a small family myself , our Christmases have always been quiet affairs .

Sorry @LoudPlumDog 🙁

I'm having a quiet one, a few carols and nice food will make me happy

I lost my darling DH in April
A quiet Christmas is all I can manage this year

Thank you everyone, we have just passed the one year mark. This Christmas my middle daughter and I are flying up up and away ✈️
