Year old cosmetics....

I've just gone to find a box, and have come across a No7 gift set I bought in last years Jan sales (I think!). Moisturiser, nightcream, eye cream, mascara, lipstick, serum.
Not been opened, just been kept in a dusty spot under the dressing table! It will be OK to use won't it? Bit wary over the mascara.
And on the off chance I bought it in the Xmas sale 2 years ago.... same question!!

I reckon they'll be fine. Smile

Absolutely fine. Use them!

I'd use it without a second thought.

They don't start to deteriorate unless opened. The jar with is a number on if from opening.

Most brands say two years' unopened. But this is best before not use by. It just means they haven't tested beyond two years. That means the active ingredients - assuming there are any - may not be as effective.

If they have gone off they would generally smell bad or the texture would have gone weird. I have used things after years.

If its unopened it will be fine imagine how long these things are sat in warehouses and shop shelves

I have a Chanel blusher from 2013. They don’t make it anymore. It’s the only one I that suits my skin and I can’t find any alternatives. I only use it about 5 times a year. I’ll be gutted if I die before it runs out 😂
