According to TMZ Blake Lively is suing Justin Baldoni for sexual harassment on the set of ‘It Ends With Us’.

According to the lawsuit, a meeting was held in regards to the hostile work environment. Blake demanded that Baldoni stop showing nude videos or images of women to her, no more mention of Baldoni's alleged previous "pornography addiction," no more discussions about sexual conquests in front of Blake and others, no further mentions of cast and crew's genitalia, no more inquiries about Blake's weight, and no further mention of Blake's dead father and no more adding of sex scenes, oral sex or on camera climaxing by Blake outside of the script Blake approved when signing onto the project.

Baldoni’s representative have denied the allegations and state this is an effort for Blake to rehabilitate her recent poor image.

Yes it was submitted during filming, long before the drama

Was the PR firm engaged by JB before or after BL had her cut of the film done - which I think the studio actually went with?

Radishknot · 22/12/2024 12:47

It’s a power play between rich people trying to salvage their reputations.

She’s an embarrassment- trying to save face as fans really went against her

So, I assume, you mean she is lying about everything.

Moonfasa100 · 22/12/2024 12:50

It would have been best if they had talked it out privately.

When they start suing each other and bringing people to court , it doesn't make anyone look good.

Like with amber heard and johnny depp

Certainly best for him.

Now everyone knows that he sexually harasses and assaults women.

Yes but she said that he sexually harassed her , after he did a smear campaign about her.

So now she is doing a smear campaign about him.

Do we know for sure that he sexually harassed her.

She has accused him fair enough. We also need to see if there is proof of it

LizzieSiddal · 22/12/2024 13:01

I was horrified and angry when I read this. It’s not enough that she had to have a meeting about his behaviour and an agreement that he would stop sexually harassing her, she’s now having to put up with a smear campaign.

It’s a well known fact, JD’s paid for a massive campaign to undermine Amber Heard and I’m really glad this is being talked about again. IMO JD should have lost that case.

lillylallylu · 22/12/2024 13:01

his alleged smear campaign came as a damage limitation exercise to preempt any revelations about her complaints on the set. Blake's complaints were made first, officially and in writing. Not just her either. Another woman on the crew put in a complaint too.

They had to all have a meeting in the middle of filming inorder for him to agree not to sexually harass her anymore. It’s well documented in her evidence.

Too many 'women' deciding that she should have stayed quiet though. Is it any wonder men continually get away with behaving like this when women question another women who has produced lots of evidence that still isn't good enough.

'Privacy' ie secrecy, works really well for the men in these situations and really badly for women. The men carry on doing this over and over again until they're stopped. Bring it all out in the sunlight and let's see.

As for 'he's an ally' I've told DD to avoid ally men like the plague. Invariably trying to get all the credit, all the airtime, none of the risk. And the second it gets hard, they back their male friends. Jean Luc Picard gets a tiny pass, but any other man wearing a 'This is What a Feminist Looks Like' T-shirt is almost guaranteed to be a wanker.

myrtleWilson · 22/12/2024 13:04

The all hands on deck meeting referencing the inappropriate behaviour, including sexual harassment was in January. The PR push on behalf of JB started in the summer so she didn’t say he sexually harassed her after the PR claim - it’s only been made public after the PR campaign/smear

noblegiraffe · 22/12/2024 13:02

I'm not saying it's not true

I'm saying i'll let a court decide. And let them look at all the proof.

Anyone can accuse anyone of anything.

Especially celebrities, when their reputation is at stake.

Remember amber heard accused johnny Depp of abuse, but the court found in his favour

FeegleFrenzy · 22/12/2024 13:06

Yeah I thought her line was non alcoholic too.

anyway whether she wins this or not I think that sadly for her any career as an actress is over. She’s not that great an actress in the first place, the powers that be will say no smoke without a fire, they’ll be worried about her firstly being difficult to work with and secondly audiences not liking her and the film flopping. She’s probably done.

The best she can hope for is that she is successful in her legal action, she might feel vindicated then but it won’t help her career.

Radishknot · 22/12/2024 13:08

I don’t think him asking how much she weighed was offensive so I think there is definitely some exaggeration.

Where does your confidence in courts being able to accurately decide the truth in the case of a woman claiming sexual abuse by a powerful man come from?

myrtleWilson · 22/12/2024 13:10

I’ve just looked up her IMDB page @FeegleFrenzy and seen that A Simple Favour sequel is in post production with Blake L and Anna Kendrick reprising roles. I quite enjoyed the first one but have no idea where the second one would go!

From looking at previous cases.

Conor mcgregor was found guilty of sexual asssault this year by a court.

Sure, and badgering her personal trainer for that information and lying about why he wanted it is perfectly normal, right?

MrsTerryPratchett · 22/12/2024 13:12

Where does your confidence in courts being able to accurately decide the truth in the case of a woman claiming sexual abuse by a powerful man come from?

Exactly. Letting courts decide leads to about 99.9% of women not seeing any kind of justice. At least BL has good lawyers, lots of money and female witnesses. There's a tiny chance she might get heard.

See also; innocent until proven guilty. REALLY assists abusive men.

I’ve not seen that. I liked the Age of Adaline. But ultimately she hasn’t been in a big box office smash movie. It’s ages since Gossip Girl finished….she’s 37yo so probably considered a bit past it in Hollywood terms for leading lady roles.

Some actresses absolutely keep getting leading type roles at an older age but they’re probably ones who are already big names from a younger age.

Everyone is innocent until proven guilty.

That is what the justice system is based on.
