Hooray, the days will be getting longer from now!

Here's the science and a few different celebrations.

Thank goodness
Lighter days coming, albeit slowly.
I hate the dark morning and evenings.
If it wasn't so cold here I'd go out and do a small solstice dance.

Happy Solstice to you too! The dark and cold can do one - here’s to the warmer weather and lovely long days ahead 😊

I have my yule log on standby. Happy Solstice.

Happy Solstice? At 9.26am? You were five minutes late 🙄 (according to the article 😁).
DH has kept reminding me of this all week, the dark days must be really getting to him this year. DD works out in the middle of the countryside so looking forward to when she’s not starting and ending in the dark, in the middle of nowhere. Though we’ve got some Winter to get through first I suppose!

I'd dance if it was just cold but it's pissing down here. A day for making soup and cleaning ready for visitors later in the week for me I think.

I'm a bit further north than Greenwich, which makes me even tardier, @TheCrenchinglyMcQuaffenBrothers Grin

Huzzah! Personally I really begin to notice this in about the middle of February, i.e. it's still daylight when I leave work (not working at the moment though).
