Are the Seville oranges in already? I usually do about 45 lbs in January.

How much water and sugar do you use for 45lb please? I need to scale up as I have eleventy billion oranges (-10 as of yesterday) and need to make a bigger batch.

Thank you!

Excuse Me What GIF by Paddington Bear

Is this where all the oranges have gone?

tedgran · 21/12/2024 18:16

I do three pounds of oranges at a time, juice , cut peel and leave to soak overnight before boiling next day. I add sugar when peel has softened. I only add 12 oz of sugar pder pound of oranges. I cook about three lots every week. Sorry about the imperial weights, I'm old and have used them for years !
