Emetophobia

I'm 21 weeks pregnant and my 3yo has a vomit bug this morning. Husband on nights so is obviously sleeping and not helping...

I have had emetophobia for over twenty years and I'm trying really hard to keep it together for my son's sake who is miserable on the sofa right now. Just worried about catching it and a) being poorly whilst pregnant and b)being so poorly that I can't look after my son. I'm too anxious to eat which I know isn't healthy - fellow emetophobes you'll understand this irrational behaviour 🫣🫠

Husband is a hospital doctor and there's no way he'd cancel an oncall shift unless he himself was unwell. Just hoping none of us are unwell for Christmas as this is the first year my son really understands it 🥺

Empathy (metaphorically too).
I am sure your child will be fine by next week. Fluids and easy things to eat once hungry (ready salted crisps are good - tasty, easy to revisit, salts etc).

There's a thing about when you are pregnant you seem to avoid bugs (so hold onto that thought) and your DH must have a level of immunity in their job.

Hope your DS feels better soon. Get them on the sofa with the TV on.
Lots of towels down and bowls and buckets!
