Knit jumper on straight needles

Hello. I have recently learned to knit and I have this lovely yarn that I'd like to knit a super simple jumper with. I am looking for the most simple pattern on straight needles, if it's a you tube tutorial, even better. Thanks!!

Try this one.

It does call for double pointed needles at times though. I find dp much harder than circular tbh

You can knit a straight needle pattern on circular needles. You just knit back and forth instead of in the round. It’s quite helpful for heavy things like pieces of jumper because otherwise it can get a bit unwieldy on straight needles.
You need the website ´Ravelry’. It’s a free database of knitting patterns. You can filter by lots of different things. Tin Can Knits make very good beginner friendly patterns.

Go onto Ravelry. com or Lovecraft.com site for free patterns.
Lovecraft is better because it's easier to navigate, you can download patterns quickly and they will stay in your library. Also type free after your search for the free patterns.

I second knitting larger, heavier things on circular needles. It seems less cumbersome somehow, they are also easier to store or put down.

I always knit back and forth on circular needles. Straight needles are too long and the weight of the project hangs off the end and hurts my hands. With circular needles it sits in my lap. Much more comfortable.
