I went on the Footlocker website late last night to see if the item I've been trying to purchase for ages was finally in stock. It was!
Long story short, I ended up trying to check out 4 different times in 2 different browsers using 3 different email addresses.
Each time I submitted the payment the screen would go blank for a few seconds and then go to an empty cart screen. No order confirmation on the screen, the website won't let me log into the account(s) I was trying to use, and I never received any confirmation emails.
I wasn't sure what was going on with their website, but was just trying to make sure I got the item before it went out of stock again.
Then I got an alert from my credit card saying I'd exceeded my credit card limit! The payment had gone through every time. But I still have no order confirmation, can't log into my account (or even receive password reset emails).
So it's a few days before Christmas and I've got no credit left on my card because footlocker has processed my payment 4 times!
Has anyone else experienced this? Do I need to call my card company and have them cancel the charges?
