Fuming with Footlocker!

I went on the Footlocker website late last night to see if the item I've been trying to purchase for ages was finally in stock. It was!

Long story short, I ended up trying to check out 4 different times in 2 different browsers using 3 different email addresses.

Each time I submitted the payment the screen would go blank for a few seconds and then go to an empty cart screen. No order confirmation on the screen, the website won't let me log into the account(s) I was trying to use, and I never received any confirmation emails.

I wasn't sure what was going on with their website, but was just trying to make sure I got the item before it went out of stock again.

Then I got an alert from my credit card saying I'd exceeded my credit card limit! The payment had gone through every time. But I still have no order confirmation, can't log into my account (or even receive password reset emails).

So it's a few days before Christmas and I've got no credit left on my card because footlocker has processed my payment 4 times!

Has anyone else experienced this? Do I need to call my card company and have them cancel the charges?

Yes of course. They weren't very helpful. They weren't able to find the transactions in any of my accounts, however they could see them in their payments system.

They said the item is now no longer in stock and that I'd have to wait up to 72hrs to find out if the transactions had actually gone through and if I'll get any of the orders I placed. If they don't go through then my card will be credited automatically. But again I'll have to wait up to 72hrs!
