Just noticed it and can't say I think it was necessary.

Seems like a pointless addition, thanking posts worked fine.

i like it. I expect half of MN will moan about it though.

Loads of moaning on the MN thread about it saying it is childish. I really don’t get why people have to moan about everything. People asked for the react emojis, MN made it happen. If you don’t want to use them then don’t. I do get the point someone made about focussing on fixing the proper issues like the site freezing etc though.

I thought the thanks was rubbish and didn't make sense in a lot of situations. I think this is much better. I'm very childish though.

I'm all for it but I only use mumsnet on the app and I don't think the functionality works on that 😂

@MagentaRocks just to let you know we are actively looking in to the freezing and crashing issue but as it's an intermittent issue for certain users it's hard to pinpoint. We are on it though and will fix it as soon as we can!

About time too! Would be even better if visible on the post.

@MaltipooMama we're a bit behind the website with features in the app but we're currently rebuilding them for that reason! Thanks will be included in the initial release and soon after we will update it to include all the reactions. If you want to join the beta group on the new app let me know and we can send you directions - then you'll have access to thank at least!

i hope it doesn’t become public as it’s point now is to give a little private nod to someone rather than it becoming a popularity contest.

I like that I can acknowledge a post now without having to add to the thread as sometimes something is funny etc but its not relevant to the thread to mention it.

i would have liked a shock or wtf type response too though.

i really was not sure at first but, having used it more then I thought I would, I like it. I particularly like the laugh emoji and the thumbs up. I agree that the thanks was a good addition but did not go with the applause emoji. I never knew it was a slow handclap, well said or a well done
