Would have been much cheaper in Home Bargains.

If you mean the poster who said they were £6 each in Asda, they were talking about the tubs of chocolates

Edited

Doh! That makes more sense! 🤣

tolerable · 18/12/2024 10:32

£34.29p

needsomewarmsunshine · 18/12/2024 10:35

Tescos always seem overpriced compared to other supermarkets. Club card only brings the costs down to a more realistic price. Any of the club / loyalty cards cards are a bit of a con imo.

Nettleteaser101 · 18/12/2024 10:36

All shopping is expensive and the box of chocs are always half-full when you open them.

BrieAndChilli · 18/12/2024 10:36

£70

£70 disclaimer I'm a pro at this as have won three guess the value of the trolley competitions 🏆

Clearly not a pro at guessing or reading the answer thats already been posted 😂😂😂

As long as the weight is correct I don't worry about the size of the tub, possibly they save money using up all the old ones when they shrink the weight

TheLizardQueen · 18/12/2024 10:40

The sub total was 95.40... I think that's awful
Club card put it down to 71.95

In my case I have 60.00 in a gift card so personally I only paid 11.00 so I was lucky with that.

I don't know why I'm shocked. Probably because I would shop differently for a standard shop.

I'm doing an aldi shop tomorrow. Will be interesting to see what I can get there.

Hopefully cheaper! I shop in Aldi and never Tesco, totalling it up with prices I expect there I estimated £65

notafraidofthebigbadwolf · 18/12/2024 10:46

Oh I'm too late, but I'd mentally added up to £71, and I assumed your turkey was a small frozen crown and I thought maybe £12 for that. Glad you didn't have to pay £90!

Leftleg · 18/12/2024 10:50

Do Tesco charge different prices in different areas? Discounters aside I don't find Tesco to be more expensive than other supermarkets

What do you mean by overpriced though?

That’s a real shame, I save a fortune there. I think you can shop online?

I'm hoping I can do the rest of the shop excluding drinks. Don't know if I can but regardless I have vouchers so its going to help anyway .
