Oh noooo, how frustrating! I was tempted to pay for the Cadbury's ones to be fair but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. Reckon if it was one bag I was buying I would have gone for it 😅

They had the white chocolate coins on shops own brand. I couldn't remember iF GS likes them though. Never mind

I understand the first part about it will feed more. Because there's less bone .

I don't understand the rest of the post at all . Probably because of my dyslexia.

The rest of the post was just me saying that, yes, Aldi is cheaper.

Someone will MOST definitely be along any minute to tell you point by point how to raise turkeys for next year I am certain of it 🤣 even on a postage stamp size garden with marauding dogs!

Next year dear op you will be thanking the enlightened souls of MN for your free range turkeys, your neighbours might not be speaking to you, the garden will NEVER recover but you have been awarded a eco brownie point from the anti UPF club 🏆🏆🏆

That's OK . At least my family will be more healthy and I will learn something. Sod the neighbours my children's health come first

Cadburys chocolate coins are the best! I really don't understand all these comments about UPF and how people should be aware of what they feed their kids FFS! OP clearly said this was for Christmas so you have no idea what they normally eat. Life is about balance! Have a good Christmas OP

Remember to get some cows too so you can produce your own dairy products

From calf or adult ? Will they be ok in postage stamp garden. What's goats milk like? I'm wondering if they may need less room ?

The sub total was 95.40... I think that's awful
Club card put it down to 71.95

In my case I have 60.00 in a gift card so personally I only paid 11.00 so I was lucky with that.

I don't know why I'm shocked. Probably because I would shop differently for a standard shop.

I'm doing an aldi shop tomorrow. Will be interesting to see what I can get there.

£71.95 is still pretty awful, isn't it? It's good you had the gift card and could use that.

I definitely think it is. It's been so long since I have done an in store shop I was waiting for the buggy to be weighted down and heavy. But no.

I don't have a clue because I never buy shit like that. All those upfs. Yuk . . .

There’s no need to be rude. Manners maketh (wo)man, not whole foods.

Those chocolate tubs alone unless on sale would have been about £25. I was estimating £85 for the lot. It is a lot though. Junk & processed food is far more expensive than good old veggies.

Cluelesssanta · 18/12/2024 15:03

£95

CranberryHedgehog · 18/12/2024 15:03

Haven't RTFT but would say £70

CranberryHedgehog · 18/12/2024 15:08

Wow I can't believe how expensive it would've been without clubcard! I swear they inflate the prices so they can put them on clubcard. Looks like a fab spread OP. The complainers should see our Christmas food shop.

Apparently this is not true - you do actually save. It was on Moneybox I think.
Of course you've sold your soul and your identity but what's that compared to a Molly's cheesecake?!

gmgnts · 18/12/2024 15:23

£55

MJconfessions · 18/12/2024 15:27

Ahhh my guess was £60. I’m not surprised it was more though as those tubs of chocolates get marked up in price I feel.

IncessantNameChanger · 18/12/2024 15:32

Gosh such snobbery on here. How do make a frozen turkey les UPF anyway?

Reminds me of my adult non working son asking me why we always go for the cheapest option. "Listen son, once you get a job and earn a decent wage you can drive about in a Tesla. But right now your on UC and have no money. So you be given lifts on my Zafria. It's called maths darling" 😄

If you can't offord a fresh £150 turkey from the local farm. You can't.

JBJ · 18/12/2024 15:34

£58

JustMyView13 · 18/12/2024 15:34

Oh that's good to know. I'm a regular Tesco shopper (with clubcard of course) and Aldi shopper. I personally don't like Molly's cheesecake but that may just be as I'm a (hobby) baker, plus each to their own.

Gosh sorry 5128 - huge over reaction on my behalf 😳
You never know on Mumsnet though !
Enjoy your Christmas OP !! X
