Has Karma ever come back to bite you?

Few months ago I went on a long weekend away with extended family. DH and I have found it hard work as they turned out extremely unfit (same age as us), so we barely got to see anything in a large city. They were constantly looking for somewhere to sit down, have a coffee etc. When it was over, I bitched and moaned about them, never again type of thing.

Literally, a week later I have tripped jogging, has never happened in 20 years of running. Hamstring tear. Small but I am suffering and it’s taking weeks to improve. Straight away, I thought - that was for being so bitchy about the family members. I can’t help thinking things but the learning I took from that - just don’t say anything, don’t vocalise the unkind thoughts.

Oh god you poor thing

I don’t think that’s karma- but unlucky but I kind of know what you mean. Cannot think if it’s ever happened to me though

I wonder if karma is scientifically explained in that it's really just someone questioning something they've done and feeling bad about it. The connection may have been made in another way aside from the accident.

It's understandable to be pissed about the holiday. Maybe the inner part of you is just saying you went too far in the extent of your moaning and bitching. They're old. You're just incompatible holiday partners, no more bitching 😀
