Challenging a PCN

I received a PCN today and challenged it by email within an hour or two.

I've never challenged one before. What can I expect to happen next, and over what sort time?

I ignored one for privately owned land at a retail park once rather than challenge it, after 2 subsequent demands they gave up. This was 10 years ago now 🤣

And I did appeal a council issued PCN a few years later. This was successful. I’d parked in an empty car park, on a very snowy morning, after work the snow had melted and I was parked sort of between two spaces (the lines were invisible that morning) I did the appeal as soon as I got home, it was successful and they never even asked for proof
