I've accidentally put my 40 wash on a 60. I've realised but not for ages so it's been washing a whole.

Had some jeans and a cotton shirt and some socks etc.

Prepare me... Is it going to be horrendous?

It might be OK 😬
I used to wash things way too high and it's fine for the odd wash, damaging over time.

Probably will be fine - if you use a dryer, they often heat to above 60 degrees.

I've done it a couple of times and it's been fine.

Good luck!

When I've done something similar, luckily I've realised just as it's starting to fill. My machine lets me switch it off, then reset to another programme. Probably a bit late to do that now as you'll end up with too much water in the machine. It might let you switch off and then put on to drain though, and then reset - worth a try.
