Does your DP ever get really grumpy days?

Lighthearted post, although my partner is doing my friggin head in since 9am. He's hating his job so Sunday. Night around 6pm he gets really grumpy about having to go in tomorrow. He's very senior, everyone loves him and he's on a great salary but he hates it. Fair enough. But this morning he has nitpicked about everything- the place being a mess ( ds left school books on table) I had sorted out whites and dark washing into piles on the floor and left overnight as I don't like using the washing machine when we're asleep. I've misplaced something silly but it's because "the house is a mess" He's doing my head in as I hate the atmosphere he creates. I've taken myself to my sister to get out of the way. Are men like this or just my grumpy hole?

He's a great person Monday- Saturday 😅

Sounds like he needs to count his blessings and stop being such a grump

I assume he's not moody when he's at work because he knows that's unacceptable.
But it's ok that he can be a twat to his family and make them feel so uncomfortable that you leave the house??
You think this is normal light hearted behaviour?

The word “lighthearted” and emoji doesn’t change the fact that he’s taking his work stresses out on you and your innocent DC. Lovely. LOL.

Stop calling this behaviour grumpy. It’s not light hearted or remotely funny. He’s bullying you and he thinks it’s his right to take his frustration out on you.

The Sunday night dread is horrible when you really, truly hate your job. I guess the obvious is to look for a new job -can he do that?

DoYouAlwaysHaveToSayThat · 15/12/2024 16:14

Being in a job you hate or that is stressful is horrible. Can he look for something else?
