May I share some good news about my health.

For the past 18 months I have been under the care of my GP and local hospitals for problems with my stomach. I have a diagnosis and have been trying to various prescriptions. Last week was dire, blinding headache, constant nausea and retching. On Monday I went back to the GP and got seen immediately.

I was prescribed a different medication and have now been free of symptoms for three days. I feel like I have been reborn. Throughout this I cannot fault by GP and the NHS.

I don’t have anyone to share this as nobody knows how ill I have been.

For the past 4 years I have been unable to eat. No appetite and feeling full after a few mouthfuls. I went down from 7 st 7 to 6st 5 at present. There was no pain but quite often I would be retching , sometimes two days at a time. I was diagnosed with Erosive gastritis. I was first prescribed Omezpresole in a high dose which eased it. I was waking up with a migraine practically every day. The symptoms of retching and nausea though did not cease. I now have Prochlorperazine which I take three times a day.

Thank you all for your good wishes. I hope those of you suffering find some relief soon.

Fantastic! I'm really happy you're feeling better.

Wonderful news @Lillixyng ! So glad you shared this with us here on MN! You've suffered in a most horrendous way. So very pleased that you got the attention you needed, and so quickly, from your GP and the NHS. Also glad you were able to share that with us, as there are all kinds of negative comments on this and way too often. May you remain symptom free, and begin to enjoy your life again! All the very best to you!

Thanks, glad for you. Me acid plus silent reflux. Last year dreadful abdo pain, I had a flare up of mesenteric fat stranding, caused by previous abdo surgery. Also found at that point to have a hiatus hernia. Yes, massive doses of ppi, plus stringent diet. I've never been overweight, never smoked, don't eat rubbish... mostly vegetarian . It's miserable. Now I have this weird acid taste in my mouth. Having to try and sleep upright.
