Hi OP I'm a director in the NHS. I look after non-clinical services. I cover complaints, PALS, safety, risk, audit, standards, inspections, health and safety, fire safety, legal, security, information management, strategy, performance and incidents. Its the corporate part of the business. Its really busy and enjoy the variety

Ah wow sounds fantastic. How did you get into that? I’ve been having some thoughts about leaving my profession lately and been trying to explore what options are out there (obviously not director level yet) but nonetheless I’m just intrigued

I just started doing project work for my local hospital and moved around getting promoted each time. Eight jobs later I'm a director...
