I have managed to avoid the school Xmas fair for 19 years . Got away with it everytime. But this year nope . DS has done so well that he was given a voucher that meant he could have a go on everything for free. Which meant I then had to take my other DS and GS. Its awfully packed. I hate it. I don't even live local to the school and don't drive. We ended up getting a cab. I dropped GS of and then came to my house. Kids dad been waiting for them because we were late . They have now gone to his for the weekend .

I'm now semi child free for the weekend. And I need to get a take away.

The junior school decided that the Christmas fair would be an internal affair during school time where they asked the children to bring £1 and each form had a stall for 10p.
I thought this was great.

Imagine my surprise the time when ds came out with £1.50 and lots of chocolate/sweet wrappers.
The explanation was, they were only allowed one go on a stall, and he noticed the girls really wanted various soft toys. So he went on those stalls and won those hen bargained with them to buy them off him for money/eats.
I wasn't sure whether to be proud of his entrepreneurial taste or not. 🤣
