Tell me how your day was. The more dull, the better!

I had a preliminary hearing at an employment tribunal as I’ve brought a discrimination claim against my former employer. It was quite intense, but it was very positive (for me, not the former employer!)

After that, I relaxed and re-watched The Crown and had picky tea for dinner…

Was in the office for two hours this morning, so went for a walk around town, sent some Christmas cards and did some shopping, and was home in time for lunch. Did a bit of work in the afternoon and met a friend tonight for dinner.

What season of the Crown are you on? I re-watched it recently, love it.

I worked, went to Boots on the way home for deodorant and cotton pads, came home, had a shower, and sat by the fire. Pasta for dinner, wrapped presents, changed my bed sheets, put out the bins, filled hot water bottles, now off to sleep.

Made breakfast for me & DS. Shower, bit of washing. Worked a bit. Thought about renewing our broadband contract and/or threatening to leave - did a bit of research- tried to contact broadband provider but had to go out before the chatbot could find me a human. Went to pick up the newspaper for my elderly parents, 'fixed' (reassembled) their Dyson and had a coffee and a chat with them. Went home, bit more work, lunch, yet more work. Walked the dog. Scrolled a bit. Work. Picked up a parcel from the post office- brought it home and wrapped it with another gift to send to my sister for her birthday. Back to post office to send to sister. Pilates class, followed by food. Work. Online Christmas shopping at Amazon. More work - job finally finished and submitted. New job downloaded for tomorrow (today now I guess) Now I'm off to bed - after i change my HRT patch.

Stayed up til 3am so woke up late. 9.30 got up to let dog out feed cats breakfast. Scrolled through phone. Did some work then showered dressed breakfast and wrapped and packed presents to be sent to family. That took an extraordinary long time - more than I anticipated! Walked dog then post office (still reeling that it's £2.80 for EU stamp)!! Dropped into Waitrose on way home for a couple bits (which somehow added up to £45), back home and stamped all my Xmas cards. Mooched around - can't recall what I did! Probably a bit of cleaning. Had early dinner as no lunch then settled down for some TV. I have finished most of my crochet projects that are gifts so crochet a Christmas bauble (red and gold) which came out really well! Watched last episode of Jackal - so good! An episode of Shrinking, Matlock...Exchanged texts with kids - DD coming home from uni Saturday! Now back scrolling on phone.....

Mine is the opposite of boring.

I'm wardrobe mistress at our local am dram theatre. It's panto week for us. Except we've had the worst off-stage drama ever and two major cast members left (one given the choice and one told to leave) last night so today I was finding new outfits for the new dame and a queen role. We've spent the whole day with a smear campaign filled with lies against our theatre on social media as well so the committee have also had a lot to deal with. We've had a lot of upset under-18s as cast members (including my own) and the stress has been unbelievable. It's something that's been brewing for days so thankfully the atmosphere backstage today was the best it's been all week.

I'm also very glad I was able to go to the pub after our show tonight, which went brilliantly well considering our replacements had less than 24 hours notice, the audience had an amazing time, and once I locked up the theatre I went and drank more wine than I normally would on a Thursday night.

I went to church and served as a sideman. Never done that - I served years as a vicar so I do know the circus.
Talk to friends after the service. It was nice.
Went for a walk. Bright weather.
Had friends over for tea. Exchanged gifts.
Wrapped a few gifts.
Watched Netflix.
Now - can't sleep...
