Not smell as nice as other loads?!

Same non bio capsules, same fabric conditioner, same cycle.

I always feel as if darks loads don't smell as fresh.

Sorry, boring thread I know, just wondered if anyone had any insight in to why it could be.

Yes!!! I really don't know why either, I use the same detergent etc and usually the same wash program.
I have started adding laundry sanitizer to the dark loads which helps

It's so strange, isn't it?!

Will give that a try too.

I've started putting washing soda in the drum before washing and it's keeping the smell away. Not sure why it's the darks though. Is it the type of material? Mine goes on at the same temperature so it's not that

I haven't noticed this, but I do know that in our household light-coloured clothes rarely get more than 1 short day of wear before ending up in the washing basket. Darker clothes like jeans are more likely to get extra days so, presumably, more likely to have a higher bacterial load. If that's the case an anti-bacterial wash sanitiser should help.
