I need to do a food shop but we usually put it on the Argos card, I’ve always been with my husband when we’ve done this so he’s put it on the card ect.

But I need to go before the weekend, he’s working so we thought I could go alone but by the looks of online that’s credit card fraud?!

has anyone ever done this and been questioned?

I know you are not supposed to know his pin (in case contactless is refused or you are over £100) but if you do and your H is happy for you to do this then I wouldn't worry about it.
If you handed the card to a member of staff to pay they may notice but if you don't have to do that nobody would know who had actually physically used the card.
Its only really fraud if he doesn't agree BUT make sure he does and is not likely to claim it is later.
So in a nutshell technically you aren't supposed to do it but I probably would in your shoes.

Is his card a chip and pin or signed for Argos card.

The signed one you’d have to forge his signature… if they spotted you, they would take the card off you as your not Mr AEP. So would assume you’ve stolen it.

Chip and pin his given you the number and let you use it when I’d just go ahead.

I have used my Argos card for food in Sainsburys, sorry to say but its not chip and pin you have to sign the receipt and they inspect the signature against the card.
