Hubby is investing in a coffee grinder to use with the aeropress so would like to treat him to some nice coffee beans for a xmas present if anyone can point me in a good direction?!

Rave coffee beans are very good, they have various types. The best coffee beans are roasted close to sale date and the bag is stamped with the roast date (Rave do this). Without info on roast date you might be buying beans that have been roasted ages ago and have lost flavour.
Another good one is Darkwood coffee.

Grumpy Mule is lovely. Only found it in Costco though.

The fresher the better. Sometimes local cafes roast their own beans and sell them (I have one near me in a small town, you don't need to be in a big city).

Online I've had good beans from Rave, Pact (available in Waitrose) and a much smaller outlet called the Coffeeworks.

I like using local roasteries as it feels nice to support them and they're all much of a muchness price wise. If I was going for a bigger one though I'd go for Hasbean. They do a filter gift pack which let him explore what different styles he likes.

Monmouth are the best and I’ve tried them all. I wish I didn’t try them though as it costs me a fortune!!
