If you do feel appreciated….

If you do the majority of the invisible/ domestic/ mental load type work in your household and you DO feel appreciated by your DP for it, what is it they do to make you feel appreciated? How do you know they appreciate you?

Talking about this with DH and he insists when I bring it up as an issue that he does appreciate it all. But I don’t feel appreciated - I wonder if anyone does?

Oh I love reading these. Thanks everyone. It’s made me realise we are further than I thought from where I want us to be.

My partner does all the food shopping and cooking, gardening, I do all laundry and most tidying, deep cleans, beds, bathrooms. We share DIY with me being the one who is more inclined towards it. Most importantly we share the mental load and there’s a constant acknowledgement between us that having a vagina or penis is not a pre qualifier for any task in life.
