What dietary changes have you made that have helped with peri-meno symptoms?

I have incorporated lots more (good) fat but I spoke to somebody the other day who suggested giving up gluten. I don't have any digestive issues but do have brain fog. What have you cut out or incorporated that's helped?

Cutting down on carbs and upping protein helped me a lot.

Cutting carbs and upping protein. Trying to keep my blood sugar on an even keel.

Have a blood test and get the numbers. Google where they should be for optimal results for b12 folate, iron, D and start from there. Maybe also thyroid.

Include probiotic and prebiotic food in your diet.

If you have a gluten sensitivity it's possible your digestion might not be working optimally and you may not be assimilating nutrients from your food the way you should be.. This can affect iron, B vits and so on. If your b12 is low it's indicative that you need to work on digestive health and it's really important you do something about the levels in the meantime.

We don't get enough magnesium in our diets and magnesium is needed for so many of our body's processes so a supplement is a good idea. Look into the best forms and how much elemental magnesium we need.

It's all a bit of a puzzle to work out what needs improving.

Same, less carbs more protein. Magnesium and B6 supplement, I get a bit anaemic so I take an iron supplement with Vitamin C too.

I also found fasting helped with energy, so I only eat lunch and dinners - no breakfast.

I feel unwell at the moment post-ovulation and find I can only stomach plain carbs and bad things - always throws me off

I cut out caffeine and also only drink a tiny amount of alcohol, it’s worked wonders.

These things are so individual and definitely take time to figure out what works for each individual.
As the user name suggests I could no longer tolerate dairy, extremely frustrating. Eliminating it from my diet improved my skin, aided my digestion and improved my general wellbeing.
I follow intermittent fasting (16/8) and only eat two main meals a day (lunch and dinner) plus a snack. I eat minimal UPF’s and reduced my sugar consumption. Limited caffeine too.
I try to keep my blood sugars steady and exercise regularly.

I have B12 injections every 3 months and take magnesium daily.

Oh also very little alcohol.
