BBC 500 words second round

Seems like quite a few are getting through to the next round, but I haven't heard from BBC either way. Is this it then? Don't they tell us if we were unsuccessful?

Two of my children entered. One has made the next step. We haven't had a notification for the other, so assuming we won't hear if unsuccessful

I'm not looking forward to telling my two they didn't get through, they worked so so hard and I am so proud of them, but the hope they had was massive. They wrote wonderful stories.
Just wish BBC 500 words would have let people know, wouldn't be too hard to have an automated email regardless of whether or not you're moving on in the competition.

Did they enter through a school group submission or from home?
