Evri tracking - wth?

I had two packages out for delivery to me yesterday, due to be delivered early evening. Nothing was delivered and the tracking hasn't updated. These were both supposed to be delivered on Saturday, but weren't so then it was supposed to be "next working day".

Does anybody have a clue what the hell is going on with Evri? They've already lost another parcel, which one those I am now waiting for is a replacement for. That's a couple of hundred pounds of my hard earned cash spent on things it seems I am destined to never receive.

I don't know, but I DO know that every time I have a parcel coming from Evri I receive a 'scam' text message telling me it can't be delivered but if I give them all my bank details they will rearrange delivery. EVERY TIME.

So I do not have a great deal of faith in them as a company.

I've had one saying out for delivery for 3 weeks now! Customer service nigh on useless. I think some delivery drivers probably chuck them in a canal when they cba! 🤣

They are completely terrible, but remember that your contract is with the seller not Evri. So it’s up to them to sort out Evri messes - whatever they tell you.

Well, whaddya know: two parcels delivered by them today. I can barely believe it.

Marks and Spencers use Evri. They were due to pick up two pairs of heavy boots from my house for a return. I stayed in 8am to 8pm as instructed. They didn't show up.
It all got very complicated. Evri told M and S that I cancelled the pick up! I absolutely didn't.
I took them to the Post Office in the end.

Please M and S - find a different courier company. They are not making you look good.

I've found that evris performance , like every firm, is totally dependant on the individual employee. Some are excellent (shout out to Paul our current courier) and some are dire ( looking at you, the one before the lovely Paul).

They get paid peanuts, so I try to be patient and not judge. But I don't always succeed.

I had an attempted delivery this week from a firm new to me BJS delivery. They emailed me asking if Friday was ok to deliver, I confirmed. They said they'd give me a window of when it would be delivered later. They did. they sent an email and a text. All well and good, you'd think. The text was sent at 11:20pm. They tried to deliver before 8:00am the following morning. Surprisingly enough, they got no answer.

I don't usually check my emails and texts after 11:00pm, as a rule, I'm asleep. I'm also retired, so don't get up in the morning before 8:00am.

Evri are always super fast for me but Yodel have had my parcel for two weeks and I still don’t have it. They keep telling me it will be delivered but it’s not moving.

I know delays are expected but it’s taking the piss now.

That's very odd. Haven't had an Evri delivery for quite a while. Waiting for a delivery last week and I had that scam message too...

I don't often have Evri deliveries either. Which is why the scam texts nearly caught me twice, it was only when I got to the page telling me it was 15p for redelivery charge that I realised it was a scam (luckily didn't give them any information) Last time I got the scam text before I'd even been told that Evri had my parcel and were going to deliver it.

I think Evri might have a leak somewhere or someone selling on delivery contacts.
