Anyone else still without power post-Darragh?

We’ve had no power since 8.50am on Saturday. Am huddled by the woodburner in the dark using my last 6% of battery. Power is supposed to be back on by 8pm but I’m sceptical. Anyone want to join me in misery?

That's rubbish, OP. I hope you get connected again very soon!

Sounds like there weren’t many of us! Power came back on at 10.30 tonight, after 60 hours. I will never take electricity for granted again.

Glad you have got it back now, OP. Was just listening to a woman on the radio who had been without power since Saturday morning and wasn't expecting to be reconnected until Wednesday or Thursday. Glad that wasn't you!!!

So glad it's back on.

Ours was off for 24 hours. A village just down the road from us is still off now. Hopefully back on tonight by 8pm.
I was talking to a family last night who still have no electricity. They were at the swimming pool having a shower!!
Awful storm and the south west was battered!!

And yes, these things do make you appreciate the things that we normally take for granted. I've been donating to Water Aid ever since we were without water for a few days nearly 20 years ago. I was so pissed off at the time about not being able to turn the tap on and flush the loo etc, and then I thought about the people for whom that is just their ordinary everyday reality. We are actually very lucky that we can take these basic things for granted.
