Just used my debit card to buy a 30 pounds gift for my d d online

Clicked Apple Pay and it ended up costing 150

120 pounds for delivery to the uk
They are based in UK

Emailed back right away to say please cancel

I have no chance do I?

They seem to be a legit company UK based

Good news. It was obviously an error, but it's so stressful when you're waiting for the business to agree with you!

If they are a well known brand, your best bet may be to go to one of the big media consumer experts. Also put a message on their FB page and tell them the expert will be in touch. This is exactly the kind of scam they look into.

Since it was an error and has been made good personally I'd ask MN to delete the naming information you posted. Doesn't feel really fair over a mistake. Glad its sorted now.

I had a similar situation a couple of years ago. The item cost £10 and I was charged £90 for shipping. From a UK company.

Like you, I immediately contacted them to cancel the order. They also said it was an error their end.

So all seems genuine

Was it the actual Cannon website OP? They are a legitimate gymnastics brand and I’d be surprised at the rip-off postage unless it’s some kind of technical error. I’ve bought from them before, and their equipment is used in a lot of gymnastics clubs. Also, they are not cheap… so I’m wondering if it was a dodgy website?
