Royal Mail Swap Out scheme

Has anyone successful used this to swap old stamps without barcodes for new ones?

A fortnight ago I sent back more than 60 second class stamps left over from marketing mailshots when I was self-employed some years ago. I followed the guidance, put everything in a Freepost envelope and sent them off. I've heard nothing. I don't want to have to go and buy new stamps for Christmas cards when I should have more than 60 replacements due!

How long did it take the Royal Mail to swap yours?

I thought that scheme closed last year?

I sent some off a few weeks ago. I think it took about 2 weeks for the replacement stamps to arrive.

The Royal Mail website says 15 WORKING days, so that's 3 weeks at least OP, I'd buy some more stamps sadly!

AyrshireTryer · 09/12/2024 10:15

The website says to allow 15 working days

The Royal Mail website, in their FAQ section, says they aim to process applications in 15 working days but that it might take longer.

Ah, missed that.

The last second class posting date is the 18th, so I can hang on another week. Thank you all.

I also thought this ended last year? It's still active? I will be so pleased if true!

Pluvia · 09/12/2024 10:40

Seems to be: think they extended it.

Have just had a quick look and it seems to say there still isn't an end date for swapping them out. Recently found several books that I'd lost. A much needed Christmas bonus. Thank you so much!
