Salon hair dye question

90sstudent · 09/12/2024 06:55

Have booked in with a new hairdresser for tomorrow.

when booking said to contact salon to arrange patch test 24 hours before.

went to go yesterday but realised salon is closed on sun and mon. Have paid quite large deposit already. What are my options here please as unable to have done before appt.

i would be happy to go ahead without as very used to dying hair, never had any reactions but could I sign a waiver for this? Thanks!

I imagine they won't dye your hair and you will be considered to blame for not realising they are shut on Sundays and Mondays which is fairly normal IME. If you're lucky they will honour the deposit for a cut and blow dry but I'm sure they won't dye without a patch test.

I've just signed a (handwritten) waiver when this has happened. Guess it depends on the salon's policy though.

I tried asking about the waiver when I first had my hair dyed at a new salon, just because it was going to be a pain to get there, but it was a very definite no.

Sunday/Monday closing is quite common in this neck of the woods.
