Has anyone ever gone into labour with a sick bug?

Just curious really.

Currently pregnant but only 6 months and have just got over a horrible D&V bug.

It got me wondering what would have happened if I had caught it a few months later and went into labour in that situation.. has that ever happened to anyone? I was thinking maybe your body knows better than to start labour with all that going on...

Me. Caught Noro virus from DH a week before due date. Vomiting, diarrhoea and contractions - it was excruciating. Was put in isolation in hospital as they obviously couldn't risk me anywhere near othet pregnant women. After about 14 hours contractions stopped - they might have given me an injection or something, it was a bit of a blur.
Baby finally arrived a week later.

That's horrific 😭 were you able to use the toilet or did they just have to help you where you were? What awful luck.
