Has anyone done a clinical trial - especially with Parexel?

I am thinking of doing one as I meet the criteria. I would be interested in anyone's experiences. The one I am looking at has a 25 night stay! The thought of being in an open ward is the only thing that puts me off tbh 😁but I cant see if it is that, or own rooms.

Do you mean the unit at Northwich Park Hospital? I used to run trials there. It will almost be open wards unless things have changed.

Have a look on the "about us" section of their website, you can see there are 3 wards (I think they are 8 beds each). They used to have fome other wards as well but I'm not sure if they do now.
All the units like this have open wards, the staff need to be able to see you & do all their texts/checks easily & quickly.

Thanks @Wonderknicks ! I really appreciate your posts.

The trial I am looking at is a long stay one - 25 days I think. Can people leave for the day during that time do you know - or do they have to be monitored all the time?

The only ones I was involved with for that long they couldn't leave (this was at a different facility). They took them out for walks & I think even to the cinema but that might not be the case here. People became quite institutionalised as I recall! I'm sure if you called them they could tell you the procedures. You'd have to go through a screening procedure and they would explain everything to you at that. Even if you pass the screening you are under no obligation to take part (& can drop out at any time).
