Permit me to moan

Been up all night with a flu type virus and terrible hacking cough. Cannot go 30 seconds without coughing. To top it off I'm breastfeeding my 4 month old so I can't even take anything helpful. And to top it off further said 4 month old is a velcro baby who will only sleep in my arms, specifically. Not his dad's. Mine.

I feel like death 😪

I feel you, that sounds like a rough situation. Will you be able to catch a nap during the day?

If it gives you any feeling of solidarity, I'm in a post natal ward being kept up, not by newborn DD but by my roommate's partner's snoring. Been desperately trying to settle DD but I don't see the point with the noise!

Moan away. That sounds rough.

There are lots of medications that are perfectly safe to take while breastfeeding - paracetamol and ibuprofen for a start. This is a good source of info: www.breastfeedingnetwork.org.uk/drugs-factsheets/

Yes those are fine but don't help my cough!!!

Usually I take codeine for a cough.
