15 countries - wow!

I had a weird job for a while 😂😂😂

strangely my daughter has only lived in one country. Might be time to broaden her horizons.

Plastictrees · 07/12/2024 22:31

5 in England, 1 in Wales and 2 in Scotland.

But my aunt didn't leave Devon until she was 66, never lived anywhere else. Also I know of people who have never left the Isle of Portland. Ever!

SabrinaThwaite · 07/12/2024 22:40

9 counties plus a couple of other countries.

ComingInByAnsible · 07/12/2024 22:41

13 across various countries, including 5 in the UK.

I was just wondering if it was still the case that there are people on Portland who have never left. Also now wondering does that mean they always lived there, but occasionally went to mainland for stuff or they literally never left ever (that's how I interpreted it growing up and haven't really thought about it since!)

For me 7 counties and 2 countries

Maybe it’s safer to stay on Portland and avoid any mention of small long eared mammals?

1 county. 1 country. Here and nowhere else.

Thats not great is it.

Why not? Depends on your point of view.

I've only lived in one County. Would never want to live anywhere else. I just feel incredibly lucky to have been born where I was.

DurinsBane · 07/12/2024 23:28

2 (both parts of Sussex 😁)

Does London count as one county?

If so 3 counties (but many houses/towns within those counties). Plus two countries outside the U.K..

Norugratsatall · 07/12/2024 23:31
  1. Kent, N. Yorkshire and Greater London.
JSMill · 07/12/2024 23:45

Six U.K. counties plus Chester County, Pennsylvania

Passwordsaremynemesis · 08/12/2024 00:05

Derry, Antrim, London, Cork, West Australia. So two counties, four boroughs of London, and three countries, or four if you count NI and England separately.

Lisbeth50 · 08/12/2024 00:07

3 I think although two have now changed their names and one town is now in a different county.

3/4 London boroughs
East Sussex
Ayrshire
Wiltshire
West Sussex

Just reading through the thread (it’s akin to reading the atlas, which I loved to do, as a child!) and some pp have included where they went to university, so Hampshire’s added to my list!
