How do I very politely but firmly turn down my friend’s suggestion/request that she accompany me on holiday? Thanks all

Needs more details. Are you holidaying alone?

Jostuki · 07/12/2024 21:04

Brenda, I've booked this holiday for some time for myself. I don't want any company.

id just say ‘oh I’m really sorry sue but I really love to go on holiday on my own just for a complete break from work and everything else. Hope you understand, let’s get together for dinner soon? Let me know when you’re free’

There have been some horrendous threads about friends going on holiday together that have different ideas as to what a holiday entails.
Just tell her that your solo holidays are going to continue and that's not a reflection on your friendship with her it's just that you'd rather keep the two separate.
